Conversion from Group Plan

If your group coverage is ending, don’t be alarmed. Pick up the phone and take advantage of the conversion privilege.

A unique conversion privilege is offered to former group plan members so that they can easily transfer coverage to a Pacific Blue Cross Individual Health Plan. This privilege allows the applicant to bypass the pre-existing conditions clause and the three-month no claims waiting period for the dental plans. If the applicant selects a Blue Choice plan, and the former group plan included vision care benefits, PBC will also waive the 12-month vision care waiting period.

Conversion privilege is available for the initial transfer from a Pacific Blue Cross recognized group plan to one of our individual plans within 60 days for those applicants who had coverage for at least six months under a group plan with the same benefit lines.

Our individual plans pick up where government plans leave off. For more information contact our Individual Plans area at 1-800-USE-BLUE(873-2583).
